Collection: Dragonfly Stained Glass Ornaments

Dragonflies darting around in the summer are a glorious sight but they never stay still long enough to properly admire them, too busy with their aerial manoeuvres trying to catch their prey. So I've created them in glass using a myriad of rich colours and large reflective eyes for you to cherish and enjoy.

In an attempt (albeit it in a small way) to reduce glass waste, these joyous dragonflies are made from spare pieces of clear and coloured glass from previous projects.

Each dragonfly has its own personality and there is a magical moment whilst the dragonfly is being made as the eyes go on and its character starts to emerge.

The dragonfly is perched on a beech base turned on my lathe and try as I might I cannot make two alike so each is definitely one of a kind! The wooden base has been dyed black to complement the patina of the metal helping the glass colours really sing.
